How do we teach Spanish in Kamalbe?
Methodology Our teaching methodology is interactive, dynamic and contextual. When you enroll in our school you will see that it is not boring, tiring or overwhelming! (In-person classes) Our teaching method uses real communication situations to teach Spanish. Conversational activities are carried out during the class and there are walks around the city where you practice what you have just learned in class, visiting museums, parks, local markets, etc. These activities are planned and structured, but there is also room for improvisation that arise from real situations and that are necessary to practice Spanish naturally and in daily life. During the visits to the markets they are encouraged to make conversations and negotiations with sellers, basic items such as fruits and vegetables are bought or basic transactions are made in local banks. All classroom activities maximize opportunities for students to use the language in a simple and communicative manner. Our method has an emphasis more focused on the meaning (messages that are created or tasks that are completed) instead of the form (language correction and language structure), which is similar to what happens when you learned your first language. At Kamalbe, students use Spanish from the first day: we do not want you to just study Spanish. We want you to be able to use it immediately! The process for beginners starts with a basic and familiar conversation, this makes you feel comfortable speaking the new language. If you are an intermediate and advanced student, we provide the materials and resources to improve your listening, reading and writing comprehension. Teachers can recognize each student's learning abilities and seek to meet their needs with precision. In Kamalbe, students use Spanish from the first day: we do not want you to just study Spanish. We want you to be able to use it immediately! Classes are taught one-on-one or in small groups. Each curriculum can be tailored to match the individual student’s skill level. • Our aim is that our students will be able to communicate in the foreign language. • Our aim is that our students develop all the communicative skills giving them the personal attention during the teaching-learning process. • The communicative focus increases the language, because we not only teach the linguistic form, but also how to use those forms in real life situations |
