The Kamalbe Project is a program with big dreams! With your help we can support more children in the poor rural communities of the Guatemala Highlands. Whether you can make a small one time donation, or you're able to become a monthly supporter, you'll be contributing to a better future for impoverished children.
We are accepting donations - they help us keep the lights on! However, we understand that many donors wish to support a particular cause so we have provided information below on our four main goals at this time |

Backpack Program
In Guatemala, children can only attend school if their families can pay for school supplies. The severe poverty in rural communities often prevents them from attending school. Kamalbe wants to provide the necessary supplies for each child that may otherwise not get to attend school. It costs approximately $25 US to purchase a back pack and supplies. Learn more...

Dental Hygiene Program
Guatemala has one of the worst dental services in the world, ranking only behind Haiti. Most of the children here have never received any dental treatment or dental education in their lives besides the treatment that they have received by our program. Kamalbe has created the Mobile Dental Clinics to provide dental care in the communities. Learn more... |
Food for the Future
It is not uncommon for some students to arrive at school hungry, whether due to long walking trips, or parents who just can’t afford to pay for breakfast. During the pandemic, Kamalbe created the Food for the Future program that provides children with access to fresh fruit, granola bars or basic grains and other breakfast foods. Learn more... |
Community Center in Xecanchavox
Our long term goal in Xecanchavox is to build a community center that will provide space for educational, health and recreational activities in the community. Our architects have quoted us around $18,000 for the full completion of the Community Center, including everything necessary on the interior. We have currently raised $6,000 to purchase the land, and another $1,000 towards construction. We need your help to complete the project. Learn more... |
