Our Progress
PurposeWithout this program the communities of El Tigre and Xecnachavox located in the western Guatemala would not get the opportunity to see a dentist or learn about oral hygiene. This allows for early detection of health problems, which can be accompanied by prevention campaigns . Demo-graphic epidemiological data can be recorded and general health and dental care becomes more affordable and timely thus allowing it to be more efficient . This is not only a wonderful opportunity for the communities, but also the medical students involved.
Year -2016 - Dental Clinic InfoEach clinic costs approximately $200. Because of the generous donations from George Mason University, Univesidad Mariano Galvez de Guatemala Independent Sponsors to run the program is possible.
Thank to this support we have received 350 tubes of toothpaste and toothbrushes, medication, dental chairs that will be used during this year, 2016. This year we will be providing treatment for about 350 children and 75 adults. The funds coming from our campaing in Indiegogo was used for buying equipment and supplies.
