Here is some information about what you will receive during your stay with our host families:
1. All of our homestay families are 5-10 minutes walking distance from the school.
2. Your host family will provide you with the basic necessities of home, which are:
Lots of our families may not speak much English, which is fantastic for practicing the Spanish you're learning during the day! Many families even enjoy assisting students with their homework. If you ever need a hand communicating with your family, we're here for you! 😊 |
4. Schedule Just like living with your own family, communicating your schedule is important. We will tell your family your daily class schedule. Please, let your family know if you’re planning on eating out for dinner or lunch or if you’re going to be coming home late at night so they don't worry about you! 5. Activities with the family If you're curious about the activities your family is engaged in, such as cooking traditional dishes, going for a walk, or weaving, feel free to ask if you can join them or offer your assistance! They'll likely appreciate your interest. 😊 |
6. Guests
While you’re staying in Xela, you will most likely make some friends. Before bringing a guest to your homestay, please talk to your host family. Overnight guests are generally not allowed. 7. Added costs
